Low impact from the ground up

The BEACHPOOL® system was designed with environmental responsibility built into every layer. The materials, the construction method, the water management, and the ongoing operation of the pool are all chosen to minimise impact on the surrounding environment while delivering a swimming experience that feels genuinely natural.

Built without concrete or steel reinforcement

The BEACHPOOL® system is formed directly into the ground using a layered flexible structure — geotextile, EPDM waterproofing membrane, drainage layer, and BESANDUR® surface — each one chosen for low environmental impact and long-term stability. The construction requires low material input and leaves the surrounding landscape largely undisturbed.

Because the structure places no additional load on the surrounding ground and remains fully separated from the soil beneath it, the ecological footprint of the installation is kept to a minimum. Heavy machinery is not required and the construction timeline is short.

Pure water, without chemical additives

The BEACHPOOL® water management system maintains crystal clear water through natural processes. Continuous upward circulation carries sediment to the surface. Layered mineral bio-filtration handles clarity and cleanliness as the water moves through the floor. Low-salt electrolysis provides the only sanitisation the system requires.

The surfaces in contact with the water are natural, non-toxic, and free of harmful substances. The result is water that feels soft, fresh, and genuinely comfortable to swim in across the full season.

BESANDUR® resin, produced in a CO₂-neutral factory

BESANDUR® is the exclusive resin used to bond the Italian marble gravel surface of every BEACHPOOL®. It is manufactured in a CO₂-neutral factory, free of solvents and free of volatile organic compounds. Once applied and cured, it is classified as non-hazardous goods and releases nothing harmful into the water or the surrounding environment.

The resin is permanently elastic, highly abrasion resistant, and rated for continuous exposure to salt water, chlorine, UV radiation, and extreme temperatures. Its long service life means the environmental cost of the installation is spread over decades, with no resurfacing required.

Italian marble gravel, natural colour, nothing added

The surface layer of every BEACHPOOL® is formed from genuine Italian marble gravel, washed, tumbled, and dried. Available in 13 natural colours and three grades, each combination is bonded with BESANDUR® resin to form a smooth, open-pore finish that drains quickly and dries naturally underfoot.

Marble gravel is a natural material requiring no surface coating, no chemical sealing, and no ongoing treatment. It weathers and performs the same way natural stone does in its original environment.

Warm shallow zones that reduce energy consumption

The gradual depth profile of the BEACHPOOL® means a significant portion of the water volume sits in the shallow beach zone, where it warms passively under the sun. This natural warming reduces the energy required to maintain a comfortable swimming temperature across the full pool.
